Welcome! As you all know, the 2006 ASCE Pacific Southwest Regional Conference is going to be held at UCLA. The conference is from Thursday, March 30 th , 2006 to Saturday, April 1 st , 2006 . We are in the midst of planning everything-trying to reserve locations for the events and book hotels, so we have not been able to send out any information. However, we do have a TENTATIVE line-up of the events that you can check out. All of the events should be on campus except the canoe races on Saturday, which is tentatively planned at the Long Beach Marina.

We want to plan a successful conference, but in order to do so, we need your help. As you know, Los Angeles is an expensive city, so sponsors if you're reading this, please donate! It is a great opportunity to advertise to active ASCE members in the southwest and to get to know some of them at the job fair. In addition, we are trying to work out a rewards program. We will post up further information later. Other than monetary donations, we also appreciate other aid because we need people to be judges and volunteers.

Directions to Concrete Canoe Races at the Long Beach Marina

From North of Long Beach (From UCLA):

Take the 405 South
Exit 7th St/22 West
Exit Studebaker Rd. & bear left (stay in one of the two left lanes)
Turn left onto Studebaker at the stop light (heading south)
Turn right at Loynes Road (you will be crossing over a channel)
Loynes will cross PCH and continue on Loynes until it dead ends
Make a right onto Bellflower Blvd.
Make an immediate left out onto E. Elliot St.
Continue on Eliot St. and you'll hit a park on the right side IMarina
Vista Park)
The Marine Stadium will be on your left side
You will be making a left into the Stadium make a left on E Colorado St
and another left onto E Paoli Way

From South of Long Beach
The directions are the same coming from 405 North and exiting 7th st/22 West
