The UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science and the UCLA Engineering Alumni Association invite you to submit nominations for the 2009 UCLA Engineering awards. Self-nominations are welcomed.

Award recipients will be selected on the basis of exemplary performance and merit, and not all awards may be awarded in a given year. The 2009 awards will be presented at the UCLA Engineering Awards Dinner. Nominations are due by Tuesday, March 31, 2009.

Letters of support and other documents may be included below or sent to the Office of External Affairs at uclaengineering@support.ucla.edu, faxed to 310-825-3966, or mailed to 7256 Boelter Hall, Box 951600, Los Angeles, CA 90095-1600. Electronic copies preferred.

Please limit supporting materials to 25 single-sided pages (50 pages for Alumnus of the Year nominations).

For alumni award nominations, please provide at least two letters and no more than four letters of support in support of the nomination.

For the student awards, a minimum of two letters of support, including one from an engineering faculty member, is required.

In your supporting materials, please address any of the following that are relevant to the nomination:
  • Career highlights, including major breakthroughs, and/or contributions to his or her field
