Ruey-Bin Yang

Ruey-Bin received his BS in Naval Architecture at National Taiwan University. He has since received MS and PhD degrees in 1993 here at UCLA. He is currently working as in private industry in Taiwan.

Ching-Chung Yin

Ching-Chung received his BS in Naval Architecture at National Taiwan University. He has since received MS and PhD degrees in 1990 here at UCLA. He is currently a professor at National Jiao-Tung University.

Tribikram Kundu

Tribikram received his BS in I.I.T. Kharagpur, India with high honors. He has since received MS and PhD degrees in 1980 and 1983, respectively, here at UCLA. He is currently a professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and Engieering Mechanics at University of Arizona.

  • Dissertation: Elastic Wave Propagation in Multilayered Solids , 1983

Sarah Poon

Sarah worked extensively on the helmet project. She also performed many clerical duties (typing up professor Mal's Deformation of Elastic Solids book for example) while being with our group as an undergraduate. She graduated with a BA in Economics this past June (1998), and is currently working in an accounting firm.

Hip Pop, rhythm of the People.. WrRrZ Siddhartha B. Mal

Sid also worked on the helmet project during the Summers of 1996 and 1997. He also fixed and maintained computer hardware and peripherals in the laboratory. He graduated from Harvard-Westlake High school this past June (1998), and is currently attending the University of California, Berkeley, studying Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Troy Schmidt also worked on the helmet project. After receiving a BSAE few years ago, he works at Jet Propultion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. He is currently studying part-time for his master's degree in Aerospace Engineering here at UCLA.

Tashanna Houston worked as a summer intern and worked on impact damage in stitched composites. She has since graduated with a BSME.
