HSSEAS EEnet Information

The EEnet refers to the network of the supported machines that are supported by SEASnet Computing Facility by service contract. All service requests will be handled through eehelp@seas.ucla.edu, which is the EEnet support team within the SEASnet Computing Facility.

Note: If you are conneting via ISP, you need to set the Outgoing mail server to be the one provided by the ISP because smtp.ee.ucla.edu will refuse to relay outgoing mail if the mail was not originated from one of the EEnet machines that it recognizes.
WEB server www.ee.ucla.edu
FTP server ftp.ee.ucla.edu has been phased out as of 2/13/2006.
Use sftp eelab.ee.ucla.edu or to your own work station.
If anybody has a problem with that, please contact helpdesk.
Dial-up service EEnet does not provide dial-up service.
Please use the dial-up service provided with Bruin OnLine account or other ISP account.
Computer lab If you do not have your own computer assigned, you may access EElab in 53-125 Engineering IV.
Please use ssh eelab.ee.ucla.edu.
Note: The individual computer names are: eelab01.ee.ucla.edu, eelab02.ee.ucla.edu, ..., eelab25.ee.ucla.edu.
Please get ssh client and use ssh to access remotely.
Changing passwd Login to your EE account, enter passwd command, and follow the prompt.

How to get help Please send e-mail to eehelp@seas.ucla.edu.
If you do not have access to e-mail, you may call SEASnet HelpDesk at (310)206-6864 during the normal office hours. For off-hours when SEASnet office is closed, please call (310)206-6864 and leave your loginname, full name, phone number, and brief message about the problem. The voice mail is not monitored constantly but will be checked around 8am,12pm,4pm,8pm during the off-hours.
