How to Install All Current Updates/Patches

Installing updates is a very important process to using software; especially Operating Systems. It fixes bugs and closes up security holes that may have been present.

Windows Operating System

• Open Internet Explorer


• Click on Tools and then Windows Update
  


• On the Windows Update webpage, click on Express*
  


• It will scan your computer for any needed updates.
  If any are found, they will be listed and the Install Updates button will be clickable.
  Click Install Updates.
  


• Once the updates are done installing, you might be asked to restart the machine.
  Save and close any programs you have open and restart.
  
  Even if it doesn't ask you to restart, you can restart your machine just to be safe.
