EE214B: Applications of Digital Speech Processing


Advanced techniques used in modern speech-processing applications, including speech recognition by humans and machines, and speech and audio coding for digital communication channels. Topics include the physiology and psychoacoustics of human perception, Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) and Hidden Markov Models (HMM) for automatic speech recognition systems, pattern classification, and search algorithms. Pre-requisite: EE214A.
