Download Information
Most of the documents you'll find on this WWW page are available
in either postscript or pdf formats.
If you need to download software to be able to read and print the
documents on your
PC, click on
GHOST
to download ghostscript for viewing a postscript file or
click on ACROBAT
to download Adobe acrobat for viewing a pdf file.
To be able to view the videos of class makeup sessions, you'll need to download
RealPlayer(TM), which is available at different sites.
Search the web to find the latest free download site.
RealPlayer is often bundled with web browsers, so you likely have access to
the package already; it is also loaded onto all SEASNET machines.
Course Information
Here is access to basic information and course policies,
in either postscript or
pdf ,
including information on the course text and other reference
material available through the EMS Library.
Here is access to a detailed, but tentative, outline of the course
topics,
in either postscript or
pdf .
Class members
You will be contacted via your seasnet e-mail account in case of rescheduling,
urgent corrections, homework hints, etc.
SEASnet computing resources are available to all registered
engineering students, including all
compilers, class software, general use e-mail, and Netscape or Internet
Explorer
World-Wide-Web browsers.
A list of e-mail addresses of students registered in the class, plus others responding
to ark@seas.ucla.edu will be available. To the extent that each student produces
his or her own homework solutions we encourage students to learn collaboratively (identical solutions will not count for either party!).
This public mailing list is an effort to make students more accessible to each
other. Here is access to the
class list; get friendly.
