I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineerig at the University of California Los Angeles in the area of Signals and Systems. I am also affiliated with the Center for Nonlinear Studies at the Los Alamos National Laboratories, and I have a visting faculty office at the Rigorous Systems Research Group at Caltech.
My general research interests are centered around distributed control in complex, cyber-physical, and networked systems with applications to energy systems and coordination in multi-agent systems.
Note: I will join the Automatic Control Laboratory at ETH Zurich as of July 1, 2014. I will stop maintaining this page at some point.
My current work primarily revolves around the following topics:
Control, monitoring, and security in cyber-physical systems
Distributed control and optimization in microgrids
Synchronization in complex oscillator networks and power grids
