Gradebook - recommended practices

Recommendation:

• Use Bruin Learn to manage grades
• Add EIP survey participation scores to Bruin Learn
• Use MyUCLA Gradebook to submit final grades to the Registrar

Using Bruin Learn to manage grades

Integration of Bruin Learn Grades and MyUCLA Gradebook

• Optionally import Individual Bruin Learn Grade Items to MyUCLA Gradebook
• Import Final Grades from Bruin Learn to MyUCLA Gradebook

Including EIP survey participation in MyUCLA Gradebook

Notes:

• There must be at least 4 responses to use this feature
• The ABET course outcome questions are combined with the EIP (Evaluation of Instruction Program) survey

Steps:

1. Login to my.ucla.edu
2. Go to the "Faculty" tab
3. Select "Evaluation of Instruction Reports" from the drop-down menu
4. Select the quarter you are interested in viewing
5. You can download the report as either a PDF or CSV file (Note: Download is available as soon as the evaluations are created, which is several days before the evaluations period begins. The participation data will not be complete until the evaluation period is over, although you can track participation progress if you wish and encourage students before the period ends if participation is low).
6. Login to bruinlearn.ucla.edu
7. Create an assignment column for non-submission assignments in the Gradebook
8. Enter the parcipation scores into the new gradebook column
