• For informative images
  If the image is a photograph, the alt text needs to describe the image as concisely as possible.
  The alt text needs to be short, but descriptive.

• For decorative images
  If the image is decorative (it doesn't convey any meaning or important information), the best practice is to use NULL alt text.

• For image with text
  If you cannot avoid images of text, it's better to have the exact same text in the alt attribute.

• For Functional images (Linked image)
  • Image used alone
    
  • Image within link text
    A null (empty) value is applied (alt=""), to avoid redundancy and repetition.
