Image captions
Adding a caption to images
- Login to Wordpress
- Go to the page you want to add a caption to an image.
- Click "Edit Page" in the black bar at the top.
- Use visual editor mode.
- Insert the image (Add Media), if not already there, to the proper area of the page.
- Only read and follow the instruction in the section "Within Posts" at
https://en.support.wordpress.com/images/image-settings.
(Note that all other methods will not work.)
- You cannot add a caption to featured images by default.
Adding a caption to featured images
By default, featured images are placed at the beginning of single post pages.
You cannot add a caption to featured images by default.
- Email your CMS helpdesk to disable "Place Thumbs on Posts"
(Appearance > Divi Theme Options > Layout Settings > Place Thumbs on Posts: This is Disabled)
- Once this is done, the featured images will no longer be displayed
at the beginning of all single post pages.
- You will need to add the same featured image of each post to the post page itself
by following the instruction in the section "Adding a caption to images" above.
