E.  The University of California Multicampus Semiconductor Manufacturing Program (UC SEMI)

An educated labor force and new technology are essential to business survival.  Semiconductor companies require a constant influx of technology and skilled employees in order to remain competitive. By providing a steady source of skilled graduates and new technology at each of its campuses, the University of California can fulfill the needs of Silicon Valley and high-tech companies located elsewhere in the state.

The UC SEMI program was created to help prepare students for careers in semiconductor manufacturing and to support semiconductor research that will lead to the new technology necessary for the industry’s growth.
